For all of you gardeners out there, the Region of Waterloo is offering free compost at the landfill site! Bring your own containers, trailer, truck, etc and pick some up. Be sure to bring a heavy steel rack and shovels for loading it up. The pile is located inside the second entrance beside the recycled bicycles. There is also mulch from wood chips available as well.

As advertised in the Waterloo Chronicle, you are invited to attend a public consultation meeting regarding options for re-routing a section of the Trans Canada Trail. One option under consideration is to route it off of Benjamin road onto Burning Bush road and the Benjamin Park Trail. That is the current walking trail behind houses fronting onto Northlake drive in the north end of the Lakeshore North subdivision.
The City of Waterloo is hosting the meeting at Northlake Woods Public School. Details of the meeting are given below.
